Position Overview

North Wind Group is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist for support of environmental projects in Alaska. This position will support environmental projects in Alaska. Support the sampling of various media, field data collection activities including groundwater quality and GPS surveys, and support environmental drilling operations. Support project management, prepare planning documents and reports, direct field teams conducting site assessments, and interact with regulatory agencies to develop successful solutions to project challenges. Apply regulatory scientific principles to assist clients in the following areas: environmental impact assessment and mitigation, site investigation, soil and groundwater remediation, wastewater conveyance and treatment, land management, waste management, and other environmental areas.



  • Knowledge & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or science related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental areas and 7 years is preferred.
  • Current HAZWOPER certification, CPR/First Aid required.
